Well I have had my 2008 550 for over 2 years now. Always garaged, parked at the back of lots. The only place I have to park remotely close to other cars is at work but I still find ways to avoid most.

Anyways, today I came back from vacation. Decided to take the 550 out since it had been in the garage for a week. I came back out from the teriyaki restaurant, walk to the back of the lot and bam, I see a door ding on the passenger side. No cars were around me so it must have happened at an earlier date and I didn't notice until today. To make it even worse, my car is kind of dirty and I can actually see that whoever dinged my car touched it with their finger to see if they actually dented it. Of course no note or anything like that. There is also a very shallow scratch about 3" long next to the ding.

Anyone have any reccomendations for paintless dent repair in the Chicagoland area? Also, how much does a small door ding ususally cost to get fixed.

Here is a bad pic, it was hard to get a good angle on it:

Thanks guys,

Bob

+1. I am interested too. Have a door ding on my ride on the passenger side.

If someone has any recommendation on guys who can fix paint-chips and/or bumper scratches, that would be awesome.

The world is an ugly place today. No one cares about anyone but themself and those close to them. There is no love for your fellow man, fellow American, etc. No morals, no conscience, no honor, no respect.

Whoever ding your car can go die in an auto accident. I know that's mean to say, but I have a few a_holes that dinged my car too . . . these people are viruses and deserves termination.

The paintless dent repair guys can do remarkable work as long as the paint isn't broken ... often dealers will have local independents they recommend or occasionally run specials in their own BMW repair shops that work out pretty reasonably. If you're not sure, ask for references or have them show you their work.
