Inktoxicated- with that system right there it should sound really good. What's the matter with it that you're not happy with? Im sure just a few tweaks on the amps and you'll be pleased.

Mori3l- your system must really BANG! Those w7's are no joke. Does it overpower the rest of the interior speakers?

I come out of my car with reduced hearing sometimes...so yeah...it bangs...shakes the entire car!!!

As far as overpowering...no not really...what I did was I lowered the bass in iDrive to its lowest setting and use the stock sound system only for the highs. The trunk sub plays the lower notes and it works out really well....you will be surprised how loud those interior speakers can get when you cut all the bass out of it.

When its at its loudest I do however, notice distortion from the stock system. Sometime in the future I may upgrade but for now I can live with it and this makes for a pretty decent budget sound setup.

JBZ what are you running in your ride? I was thinking of throwing in two 12" audioque SDC2.5 subs. They're rated at 600 rms each but people run then 200-300 more daily with no problem. If all electrical holds out at that much wattage, then I was thinking of getting audiopipe AP-18001D. I would have the box custom made for the specs of the subs.
Here are the links to the subs and amp.

Also, not too sure about pairing up and wiring of the voicecoils and ohms to the amp so if anyone can clarify if that would work right there would be great!
Im running jl audio hd amps, 600 and 750. The 4 channel is turned down due to being wired directly to the stock speakers and factory subs under the front seats. My 750 is pushing a 10 w7 in the HO box front firing through a custom port through the back seat. I also fiberglassed a bezel and am running a pioneer 4400 double din(waiting on the new z140 to come out.) Its still a work in progress and its goin to take some time to glass my doors for 6 1/2 components and to design my trunk. As far as my power goes, i dont have any dimming what so ever.

Forgot to answer your question. Havent heard of the brand personally, but looks good. You linked a d4 sub so i would assume its a 4 ohm dvc. The amp you linked said that it is also 1 ohm stable which would allow you to run two of those subs. One sub can give you a 2 ohm load in parallel and two can be wired down to 1 ohm. 1800 watts on just your sub amp alone is going to be a bit overkill. How about your highs? At that level you might start thinkin of an upraded alternator and maybe a secondary battery

Hey jbz sounds like your system will sound amazing. However just to let you know you are able to fit 6.5 inch speakers where the factory 4 inch speakers are. You just have to find shallow speakers. I know this for a fact because a friend of mine has an e60 and his audio shop did just that. Me on the other hand, my audio shop said it couldn't be done a few years back and ended up cutting holes in the bottom door panel to fit the 6.5's. Sucks. But yea I do have a 4 channel amp supplying 75watts rms each to 4 6.5 inch speakers. So now what is left is the bass. The factory underseat subs did justice for the time being but it's time to upgrade. Any recommendations what alt or battery to look into?

Mori3l I could imagine a little bit of temporary deafness happening with that sub lol. Btw did you dynamat the trunk and do you have the ski-thru in the rear armrest? I don't but was thinking of cutting a hole there to let some more of the bass travel inside the cabin because I hear our trunks are pretty sealed.

I have no ski-thru...I was thinking about cutting a hole as well...

This trunk holds in A LOT of bass. If it already makes me deaf with all that dampening I couldn't imagine what it would be like if I properly ported the bass into the cabin.

As far as dynamat...i havent added any to the trunk...so yes...i get LOTS of rattling....but w/e im happy..

Yeah man look into cutting a hole right behind the rear armrest. Shouldn't take more than 5 minutes if you have the right tool. It'll be like basically making your own ski hole lol. Should add a lot of bass there's some members here who have done it and said it makes a huge difference even with the armrest up. Also, once you add some sound deadener to the trunk the bass should get even clearer and possibly a tad bit louder. I'm going to go with this company secondskinaudio.com They're Damplifier is supposed to be much better than Dynamat and cheaper.

All in all, nice system enjoy it man! Hopefully I'll be part of the club soon
