I got a new bumper and I don't think they put the sensor in the right spot...it's clamped into what appears to the proper bracket, but it is pretty much just dangling behind the plastic 'criss-cross' grill piece...the recessed grill piece in the center of the bumper. They have it sorta dangling behind the right corner of that piece. It doesn't seem right at all.

I searched, but only found pre-LCI/older information.

BTW...It would be SOOO nice if people would list what year and model their car is...like in their signature or somewhere. I mean you read stuff about their car....and you don't know if it applies to yours or not, because you have no idea what year or model the car is.

Ok...so I found a picture from before the new bumper. I have circled in red what I think may be the temp sensor. Can someone please confirm this for me. If it is...what is it attached to? I know the sensor itself snaps into a bracket thing...but what is that bracket connected to? Thanks.

My car is a RHD LCI 530d M-Sport and the sensor is over the other side of the bumper to where you have found it in the pic above.

I guess that doesnt really help you though.

Hmmm, I got a 06/08 525d with M Package, the sensor is behind the bumper between the wheelhouse on the right side.
Take a look under your car, if there is a cavity in the plastic on the right side, this maybe the sensor.

If never heard, that the place with the red circle is the sensor
