Can anyone confirm that the steering wheels on 08 550i with sports package is thicker and is more like M5 steering wheel compared to 535i sports package steering wheels?
I was under impression that 535i interiors is exactly the same as 550i and that the only difference it the engine and obviously M kit and the wheels if you were to get 550i with a sports package.

The MSport package also includes M steering wheel , M door sills and M dead pedal, whether the steering wheel is thicker I'm not sure I've always had an MSport even my E39. It would make sense that it would be though.....................

Don't have a 550i around for comparison, but my 535i with the heated steering wheel is very thick...was just noticing that yesterday. I don't imagine there's any difference as the wheels would more likely be different between a sport vs non-sport vehicle. Even then, I think it's only the brushed alum trim that's diff?

The 535 SA with heated steering wheels is exactly the same style and thickness as my 2004 545 with the SMG. The 04 SMG cars had the M-Sport steering wheels.

Other than the wheels, there is no ///MSport badging anywhere on the U.S. '08 550i Sport. Not the steering wheel, door sills, dead pedal, or anyplace else. Were you referring to Europe? It's so confusing. I see pics of the Sport package in other markets with ///M badging, but the U.S. versions have no ///M badging. And we don't have the ///M badged steering wheel.
