06 550i Fuel Pump PAIN!!!
Hello all,
New to forums. My girlfriend bought this 2006 550i 2-3 weeks ago. Its been down for about half a week. I Installed a new fuel pump on the car, previous owner said fuel pump was bad and relay wouldnt allow it to run. I used a jumper relay until it didnt work anymore a week and a half ago and I replaced the fuel pump assembly myself. I got a new relay and it still doesnt want to work unless I use the jumper. The car always turns on when it has enough battery voltage and the fuel pump relay jumper is plugged in. I always hear the pump turn on as soon as it is plugged in. The battery also drains after an hour of sitting since a couple days ago, battery is 3/22, so its nearly new. All fuses are good and were checked.
I need help, thanks.

Quick update: I have done a parasidic drain test, there is a drain. I'm almost sure it is due to the fuel pump issue. Yesterday, I tested the relay connector itself. I had thought the pins had slid back or were burnt out. I pulled a fuel pump relay connector from the junkyard, and wired it in, and it didnt work with the original relay. I plug the jumper in, it turns on. If I hardwire the wires together, it turns on. Now, that leaves 2 wires. The signal and the ground. Either the signal wire going to the ECU is bad, or the ground is bad. I don't have a scheme for where the wires go for this 06 550, so Im going to have to look further into it in a few moments here.
