Yes I have unplugged my battery a few times (during my stereo mod, etc.) and discovered no issues when reconnecting. Always disconnect the neg 1st, then positive, installation in the reverse order. The car has internal batteries and firmware programming for the important data, so you wont loose vital operations of the CPU. Since you have a 2004 model, Ill assume youre already out of CPO warranty. As others have said, it could be your stalk, however if you take it to the dealer youre gonna get charged, and unplugging the battery is free! May not fix the issue, but if its an electronic problem it also may clear things up, it worth a shot.

I'll give it a shot. Yep, no more warranty on the car. Thanks again for the tips.

UPDATE:

Hello All, disconnected the battery for about 10 minutes. In short, lights still won't shut-off BUT nothing lost on the iDrive. Presets on the radio still work. Only thing I had to do was adjist the time and date. So all in all, no harm done. Anyhow, got the car looked at, and it's a broken signal stalk. It's currently being repaired and it should be ready by Monday. I let you guys know how it works out.

Enjoy your weekend all! Thanks again for the advice.

Final Update:

You guys were right. Defective right turn signal stalk. Got the signal stalk replaced a couple weeks ago. Fixed!

Enjoy your weekend.
