USE ACETONE. Non-acetone nail polish remover will ruin the visor. Watch out for breaking the mirror when you scrub the visor. Goo Gone etc... does not work.

As you might guess, I've tried non-acetone nail polish, goo-gone, and broke a mirror. If you use Acetone, first use a minimum amount to remove the sticker. Then use it liberally over the entire back of the visor to remove the 'shadow' of the sticker. It works beautifully. You should be able to get it at any hardware or paint store.

I had exact same problem with heavy black residue. Goo-Gone and acetone didn't remove it all. I bought an ink remover made by Goo-Gone and it worked perfectly - no residue and no damage to the visor.

Where did you find the goo gone ink remover? Having a little trouble finding it. Most stores have only the goo gone, no special products.

Don't remember, but would bet it was either Walmart, Home Depot, Target or CVS. You might even find it at the grocery store. It is citrus based. Here is what you are looking for.
