Hi,

I just replaced my original sport seats with M5 seats, but it was not so succesfull.

I did everything as seat replacement instructions tells (battery was disconnected during removing and installation etc.) and everything was fine after I started the car - for a while. Then first seat belt light came up, just like if you don?t have seat belt on. But no alarm sound when I drove the car. After couple of minutes airbag lights came up and iDrive complains about "Front pass - restrain system faulty". I shut the engine and started again, all warning lights gone. But once again after few minutes seat belt light came up and after that airbag. This happens evrytime now when I start the car.

Any idea what?s wrong? Should I go to my dealer and reset all those lights with BMW tester but does it actually help anything? Should I use my old seat belt pretensioners? Please help me.

Best regards,

You could have bad/broken sensors in the new seats. My passenger side sensor is broken and it gives me the same error messages, I just need to find the time to take it in and have my dealer fix it.

Thanks for your reply Heiss5. What is exactly this sensor and where is it located in the seat? Is it possible to change it by myself if I take it from the original seat?
