Bruce, mp3 enable is not a requirement... members nigxdoof & nelson29 got their GW500 while their M-ASK isn't mp3 capable.
In other words, is it possible to fit the Dension per the instructions above as long as you have the 6 Disc changer (CDC), but no MP3 capability.

Yes the Dension will work with mp3 but you will get no text on the screen. I mounted my Dension on the side wall of the car under the glove box behind the trim pieces. Used double sides velcro to stick in in place.

My Ride: My Bimmer's info is in my sig, so I'll tell you about my garage toy. It's a 1997 Porsche Boxster. The car is black on black and I have replaced every single thing on the car (interior, exterior, drivetrain, suspension) except for the sheet metal and the convertible top (both of which will be next I guess). I love my Pcar more than any other car I have ever owned and will probably keep it for the rest of my life.
Porsche. There is no substitute.
Which model number should I be looking for? Part no. GW51MO2 / GW51D2B????
Also where are you guys finding them the cheapest in the USA?
I found one of each model number for sale on eBay brand new for $449...

First off, excuse me for ressurecting an old topic. I just took delivery of my new 2005 525d, and am now a happy puppy. While searching the forum to find out if my changer is MP3 capable (it isn't...) I happened on this topic. And, I might want one of these 
But, as I have mere 'Business' nav (small screen), it is not 'text capable'. Can anyone explain, with pictures if possible, what that actually means?
