Meant to say Retrofit!
Has anyone done this mod?
My dealer told me they could do it but are now saying the parts system wont allow them to order the parts.
I am mystified why.
If anyone who has done it could share the proces that would be really helpful.
Thanks,

i don't see what the difference would be between pre lci or lci halogen to lci xenon.....try another dealer..
I think you might not need a new LM with lci halogen to lci xenon![Think](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/think.gif)
member rootkit has a great diy thread for pre lci to lci...

Crazy. There is a kit to go from pre-LCI halogens to xenons, and then a kit to go from pre LCI xenons to LCI xenons.
I asked a friend to see what dealers in Germany said about a retrofit kit and was told the same as UKdealers that there isn't one yet.
He did go one better though, as he knows someone who works at BMW Germany. The official line is that as there isn't much demand, they haven't bothered producing one BUT a "good" dealer could do it by buying the separate bits.
So no further forward...
Be nice to work out how to do it. I can't be the only knob who should have specified them as an option when I bought the car!!

I have given up for now and decided to get headlamp washers fitted on their own.
This has turned into something of a trial as the dealer couldn't get the car to accept the re-coding.
Will tell you how it turns out.
