Hi guys
Having just retrofitted the newer Lci CCC in my pre Lci car, i have some questions to ask. The donor car which the Lci CCC came from had more equipment fitted to it than my 'poorboy' 5'er. I now have the bluetooth option showing on the idrive, but i know my car is not equipped with bmw bluetooth as it has a parrot system fitted. Also the climate is showing the heated seat option (i don't have these either) and some other kind of airflow adjustment option. These 2 'extras' are 'redded out' as there is no hardware there for it to work, the standard center vent temp adjustment is present and works fine.
I'm figuring the climate stuff will be in the kombi module, but which entries do i need to nicht_active?
Not sure where the bluetooth stuff would be stored tho, and what needs changed to remove it from the idrive menu.
Any help much appreciated
Gav

What I would do is just let NCS manage all this for you. Just do a Code Car and all will be sorted automatically.

Thanks Bruce, would this work even if the new CCC still has the old VIN assigned to it? I have not updated the my own cars VIN into the donor CCC yet as i have yet to get a DCAN cable (for programming).
Thanks

Without a DCAN cable how were you planning to run NCSExpert? In any case it will work because what Code Car in NCS does is looks at the VO stored in the LMA/CAS and recodes all modules to align with that. Actually in your case you may be able to get away with only recoding the CCC using the default Expert profile.

I do have a cable (one of those chinese jobs with the rs232 tail) and it works fine with INPA, EasyDIS and i've done some coding with NCS Expert. Been told it won't be good enough for programming tho..as you need double K lines for that?
Anyway, i have edited my V.O in both CAS and LM modules when i changed my 6 disc changer for an Ipod interface (before my old CCC went caput!). So all i need to do is code entire car and all is good?
Thanks again

Just code the 5 CCC modules first and see if that does the trick. You do not need to program, coding is more than enough.
