Hi All,

Just wondering if anyone knows where is the Oxygen Sensor is located for the 545i? Also, how many O2 sensors does it have?

Thanks in advance for your support

There should be 4 o2 sensors regardless of auto or manual transmission. 2 pre-catalytic converter sensors and 2 post cat sensors

Thanks guys, I have not change the o2 sensors yet. But instead, I had the thermostat changed and the check engine is no longer appears. I hope this solved the problem. If not, I will have to go back changing the sensors.

Is there tools/code reader I can purchase to check for issues when my car alerts me with warning lights?

I purchased a unit named KEYCODE for $30 (including tax I think) from Costco. Pretty simple device. Plug it into the car (ODBII), read the code from the car, look up the details of the error code on their online database. It can also erase codes, but obviously if you don't fix the problem the code will return.

I purchased this unit versus others due to reading posts from members such as Rizbel who use the same unit and have had success with it.

Hope this helps.
