Woo hoo... The rain stopped and I took advantage! Here are a TON of pics of my Fog light mod for comparison. Same Bulbs as ch7656 PIAA HB Bulbs Model: H-259 4700K X-Treme Force Bulbs
Question for you guys: I just replaced my stock fog light bulbs today with some PIAA X-treme white 4150 bulbs and when replacing the bulbs back in the fog light housing neither side would turn a full 1/4 turn like the stock bulbs. The right bulb turned just shy of a 1/4 turn but the left bulb would only turn about an 1/8 of a turn. Did anyone else have this problem? The bulbs appear to be firmly in place in the housing and, yes they are the correct bulbs, but I'm wondering if anyone else had this problem or has any suggestions...?

Ok here is the response,, seems the xtreme bulbs are not available anymore ... here is the message he sent
Hello, Juan. Thank you for your question. I don't have Xtreme Force
HB(4700K) and Xtreme White HB(4150K). But I have newer PIAA bulb in HB.
PIAA Super White & White HB(4300K) and Platinum Super White HB(4100K). If
you are trying to match the color of HID headlight, both of these will be
perfect. Xtreme Force(4700k) is too blue and will not match your headlight.
The price of Super White & White HB(4300K) or Platinum Super White
HB(4100K) is us$54.99(two bulbs) and shipping to US is us$4.99 via regular
air mail (5 to 7 days) or us$11.99 via intenational express mail with
tracking number and insurance (2 to 4 days).

So has nay used the SuperWhites?

After with Superwhite 4100K I think it is a close enough match and retains as much fog piercing light as I need here in not too foggy Florida.

Lots of good posts out there on this subject?thought I would share my technique with you. In the end it took me about 5 mins per side.

Using an 8mm socket remove these 4 screws
Attachment 4381

Here's another shot of 2 of the 4 screws
Attachment 4382

Using a Phillips loosen/remove these two fasteners (belly pan)
Attachment 4380

Slightly pull the wheel liner out
Attachment 4383

Another shot of the wheel liner pulled out
Attachment 4384

Pull the lower corner liner down and you?ll have easy access to the bulb?that?s it!
Attachment 4385

Here are the lights I used (about $65 on eBay /oem on left for comparison)

Here are a couple daytime pics of the results...

sorry that i didn't see a much difference in the before and after pictures after the foglight is installed, but it sure is an awesome help for those who want to change foglights DIY, just curious... how come you didn't consider HID forlights?
