I just did this today to my e60 and this made it a piece of cake...literally 5-7 minutes a side. Was a nice opportunity to clean out a bunch of road crud that has found its way in there over time as well.
But to anyone considering doing this themselves, don't even hesitate as the instructions are spot on, and again props for the photos and write up as well.
I know most people here like matching their fogs up with their HIDs or whatnot, but I've always been a fan of yellow fogs myself. I went with Hoën Endurance H8 Bulbs that are 2500k. I've tried a lot in the past from the crap on eBay to PIAAs and I have to say these have nice output and a great color yellow. http://www.hoen-usa.com/ is their site, and they do make quality bulbs and are a bit cheaper than PIAAs at like $39 or so.Here's a couple of photos, although I don't think I really captured the yellow of them that well.

Hi there,

2 questions for you: 1. What kind of bulb do you have in your AE's? 2. Hos did you get your fogs to come one with the headlights being on?

Thanks!

Thanks!
Turn your parking lights on, press the fog light button. Easy.

Bought my car used, but don't think this is a mod.

Well, the fogs can be coded to come on as soon as lights are turned on (parking lights or headlights).

Default Need more clarification

Will these instructions work for an '07 530i. I don't see the fasteners (belly pan) on my car. Also on the driver's side the windshield washer reservoir seems to be in the way?

This thread is a bit old. I wanted to confirm these will fit my 2008 535xi wagon with cold weather package.

I replaced my fogs last night with the 4150Ks from PIAA.

The passenger splash guard was a little bit broken, I mended it with gorilla glue. Does anyone know where to get these? BMW part# 51 71 7 050 538

I tried installing my new fog light bulbs today, but I ran into a problem. I started on the driver's side and was able to pull back the inner lining for the wheel well. The problem was that the resevoir for the washer fluid was in the way. I could not access the rear of the fog light. Anyone else have this problem? If so, how were you able to install the bulb?
