I had receive the warning message that my gas cap was open and then the service engine soon light would come on I check the obd code and it came up as a p1434 which says check air flow pump so I took it to a mechanic he said the gas cap is probably bad and replaced it two week later the same thing happen do know what this could be and is this something I can do myself apparently some gas vapor must be leaking I think.
