Looking to do CDV Delete---Some Questions
Hey guys,
I have an manual shift 04 530i...I can't stand how it shifts! I am thinking about doing a cdv delete myself.
My question is: do you have to bleed the clutch or can I just clamp the hose...remove cdv....reconnect and release clamp. Will this method work? Will this leave air in the hose?
Thanks!!
Jarek

there is some chance of air... here's a diy; not that difficult. http://www.zeckhausen.com/CDV.htm
Can we just removed the CDV on E60 w/o buying a "hacked" valve?
I know it's cheap, but can we could just remove the whole CDV and bend the line slightly to meet the other end like this M3 write up?

Is E60 setup different than the above DIY?

if you're out of warranty, you can just remove the CDV and reconnect the hydraulic line straight to the cylinder. The only reason for the drilled out CDV is to keep your dealer from using that as an excuse to deny transmission warranty coverage.
will keep you guys posted on how it goes
So its complete...
not to sure of any changes really.
Shifting for myself was never really a problem, i just really wanted to be able to chirp into 3rd...
it still doesnt chirp in 2nd or 3rd so now im thinking maybe my clutch has a slight slip
