I painted my brakes last week and just wanted to share... it was a lot more work then i though it would be..

Before: Dirty as hell



After: a half hour of scubing with a wire brush..

Good deal

With the open wheel style you have you might consider using some high temp flat black on the brake disc hub. Did you use some brake disc lube on the centering hub? That'll help slow down any corrosion and makes removing the wheels easier.

brake disc hub??? do you mean the rotor??

Looks great. Adds some color. Might consider the red rear reflectors to complement the color choice.

yes! the area immediately behind the wheel where it first contacts the rotor. as soon as my wheels (m5 166) arrive, i'll be painting calipers red and hub black (or may be red also?) we'll see....changing out my rotors also.

I left everything as is. I don't think the paint is cold enough to freeze things, or it would have a warning label for frostbite.
