I have an Escort SRX, but I didn't install it myself. I have the two front jammers installed below the headlights, behind the grills. Unless you know where to look, you'd never know they are there. I've been hit with a laser a few times, and they've performed perfectly.
There is a rear unit with the SRX too, but I put that in the front underneath the license plate.
Note: this isn't a picture of my car - I just grabbed a picture I had to show the location.

Where did you get your jammer installed?
Who's zapping you and where? I'm in the area, Methuen.
A NH state jerkoff zapped me back in August on 95N right before exit 4 and only because I was in the far left lane which by the way is the exit lane for exit 4 (others were zipping by me in lanes 2 & 3).
I've installed a V1 and happily speed in the far right lane. Last week a statie pulled over an RX8 in lane 3 which I was clearly going faster than in lane 1.

The last game of laser tag was as I was getting on 93S at exit 1. If you know the area, you know they're doing a lot of construction at that exit now; I was going by the mall, starting to speed up after going through the last light. The cop was on the right hand side of the road, just standing there behind his motorcycle.
I've also been tagged on the opposite side - getting off exit 1 from 93N. I've been hit with laser there twice, but he must have been hidden because I didn't see him. It was dusk so he would have been easy to miss.

Not the best pictures in the world, but here are where my laser jammers are located.

Appreciate the replies and help.
bdkinnh - Did they epoxy glue the jammers or mounted them on somehow? I was debating about putting them in that area but am worried it might too low so hence was thinking about the kidney grills (but then that's not far apart enough). If you don't mind taking a pic when you get the chance and posting - that'd be real great.
jralber11 - Be kick butt if you don't mind posting pics. Love to see where you mounted them and how. Also where did you find switched power to tap into?
But yes the jammers work very darn well. I had Lidatek LE-30s on my E46 M3 and was just great. I recall getting zapped by a cop on the interstate and the dumbfounded look on his face driving past him several years back. I should've installed this much sooner but with my travel schedule now didn't think I needed to. But after getting 2 laser tickets this year - I've had enough. Kicking myself in the butt for not doing this sooner. Especially now that the local cops are using laser and not just the state troopers.

My skepticism is based on physics, or the speed of light if you will. As fast as a detector is, its not as fast as the speed of light. I was talking to a motorcycle officer (he was giving demonstrations with his ladar and I asked him specifically about this topic.) I then asked a couple of law enforcement friends of mine about it and mentioned my discusssion with the motorcycle officer. I came away from my discussions very much a skeptic when it comes to evading ladar. But hey, if you think it works, then I cool with that.
I guess all the tests at www.guysoflidar.com were faked. Bummer.
Skepticism is a Very Good Thing, but science and tests are even better.

Am planning to install LI laser jammer to my 535i. Has anybody else installed this or any other laser jammer, e.g. LPP, AL, or ZR3?
Trying to work out where to install the 2 front units. I suspect behind the kidney grill be best and make some custom brackets to keep them attached. Curious to know where and how others have done so.
As for power - is there a switched power source in any of the footwells that can be tapped into? Is there some sort of wiring guide or PDF docs that can be requested/reviewed?
TIA.

Caveats to my pics: 1) grille is replacement... this is the Hamaan black grille... waste of money as you can see from how pitted it is. I figured out it is OEM silver painted black; have since found better alternative (vinyl wrapped) but not installed yet; 2) I experimented with head placement a few times before I settled on their current locations - thus the holes in the bumper fascia grille (part on order).
No offense to the K40 owner, but K40 jammers are terrible. Do yourself a favor and get a Laser Diode based jammer before you get nailed thinking you are protected. Besides, K40 is the worst in the whole world. Don't believe what you read on their website or SML. Do some research... radarreviews.net, radardetectors.net, YouTube, etc.

I recommend dual heads even with a laser diode jammer. You can get away with one LPP head in most cases.... that is, it will give you great center protection, but you'll have a weak spot with the edge of your headlights. You would need minimum 2 heads with LED based jammer... maybe 3.

A cop told you that it wouldn't work? Shocking! Did he also say that speeding tickets were about safety and not revenue?

I have dual LPP heads up front with the M-tech bumper. Highly recommend LPP as it has saved my butt several times.

So explain the science of how a light emitted after detection will return to the gun faster than the reflected light? Thanks for the link, I will check it out. Are you aware if they have any recent articles on the topic? The last I find is over a year old. I agree about science and tests, especially the speed of light and current tests.
Since the speed of light hasn't changed in the past year, I'd still consider the articles valid.
