Can anybody give me an idea where to get the Ignition signal (power when Ignition is turned on) in the trunk? I need it for the remote signal of my amp. I don't have the standard amp in the car and the best place to get it might be the fuse box.

I have searched the WDS and the forum but could not find the information. Only guess would be to take it from the cigarette-lighter power output, but fuse box fould be more comfortable for me.

Any ideas or helpful links??

Dirk,
It's OK to grab cigarette power line to turn on your amp. It's already has the fuse for it. Also, the remote turn on is just an input of a relay inside your amp. If you're afraid, you can grab power from cigarette lighter, going through a fuse, the input to the remote on.
I feed power from cig lighter directly to my amp remote-on input.

thanks my530i and bruce-miranda. That helped a lot. I weired fuse 87 yesterday. I'll see if the battery still has power this morning. The Cigarette lighter fuse 82 would be my second choice if it does not work. I would prefer the 87 solution as amp would be on power with no need of motor power on.
