Desert 530, can you get the BT car kit (non Pro), but the BMW ULF Kit from Saudi dealers yet? There is no reason they cannot remove the Pro and replace it with the proper BT kit... It will cost you the new kit + all the labor likely.

Jmcaiado,
Does TIS show the wiring for the power outlets in the rear?
I was just wondering if it is possible to order the parts for the outlets and the wiring. In particiular, I was wondering if the supply for these outlets is part of a larger loom, or if there is a separate cable which provides the supply for these.
If it is the latter, might make the fitting easier.
Any thoughts?
Phil.

If you cannot get the power outlets for the back I know you can get outlets that stick out about an inch that will work. I have seen them here in Germany.

Desert530,
I have the bluetooth installed (SE T610) and the cradle isn't only for charging the phone, it connects the phone to the external antenna in the car and the signal is much better.
There are BMW cradles for the Siemens S55, Nokia 6210i,6310i, SE T610/630.

NickP: I am assuming you meant a cradle for a specific phont when you said non pro kit. I know some is available, but even with that. The bluetooth adapter is not located in the phone base under the arm rest. It is somewhere within the dashboard, my understanding is that threre are two types of adapters. One for BMW phones and one for any other phone. So replacing what I have right now with another cradle won't change what's inside the dashbaord (they tell me that is not an available option yet, it comes in the initial car order).
Tuga: I totally agree that is also connects to the antena besides charging, but still that a specific cradle will change the way the phone communicates with the car.
I personally beleive that cradles are expensive, I would rather be able to pair any BT compatibale phone and have the option to change my mobile phone anytime. If i get a cradle i will be stuck with one phone.

Yeah, but the Pro kit that uses the BMW Pro cradle seems like it *IS* the issue...
Try to get your dealer to work on de-pairing the BMW handset. That is the end solution to correctly pairing another phone. The BT ULF module *ONLY* supports one active paired phone. For some reason the Pro phone is always present even if the handset is powered off....

So do you think that if i disconnect the BMW Pro cradle i will be to pair my mobile phone.
BTW: In any other car (no BMW pro but with BT), you can pair up to 4 devices at the same time. but only one can be active at a time.

I've tried this question elsehwere without any joy. Thought I'd try you!
Bluetooth compatible phones. I have the bluetooth system (UK spec car) and it works ok with a borrowed phone (Ericsson T68), but the phonebook etc are not transferred. Now BMW publishes a list of compatible phones. Very helpful, but with the exception of the Ericsson T610 and T630 every other compatible phone is now discontinued.
Do you know for a fact if any of the following phones (as yet untested by bmw) are 100% compatible?
Motorola v525
Nokia 3200, 6230, 6820,
Sharp GX15, GX30
Ericsson K700i
Any help much appreciated.
Thanks
