The BMW South Africa site seems to be more upto date... It was one of the first regions that decided to launch... So they are pretty good on updating the info:
Normally they will list phones available on South African networks - so it's not fully inclusive:
http://www.bmw.co.za/products/bluetooth/default.asp
Full compatibility (including phonebook transfer)
Ericsson T39m, T68i
Motorola: V600
Nokia: 8910i, 6310i
Siemens: S55
Sony Ericsson: T610, Z600, T630
Part compatibility (excluding phonebook transfer)
Nokia: 3650, N-Gage, 6820

Also the Motorola v525 should be similar to the v600 which is supported - but take this with a grain of salt... The 400's/500's/600's all run the same Motorola TRIPLETS Software, but there could be hw differences.

Guys I strongly believe that any phone with "Headset Profile" will work with BMW.
Just look at any the list of compatible phones and you will notice that they all have BT with "HeadSet Profile". Those other phones that are not fully compatible don't have HeadSet profile (not fully = phonebook doesn't copy, or you can dial but not answer, etc)
Earlier this year when I started searching, this website provided the most accurate information http://www.mdload.com/bluetooth/
Note that you do not need a cradle for a phone to make it work
(i.e. I paired SonyEricsson Z600 with an E60 that doesn't have any cradles or built in phones).
Though the same phone is not working with my E60 (with built in BMW phone).
Providing such option in a car should be about convenience, I don't see why I am having so much trouble with it. I have had my car since January and still can't find a solution to this problem.

May have asked you this before. Have you got any information in your CDs on instructions to have the Brake Force Display activated??? As you may have read on other posts; I'm having real trouble getting it activated.
Any information would be great.

jmcaiado,
Any chance you got instructions on the CD to remove and install the kidney grilles? Thinking of changing to the chrome grilles but not sure if its easy to change them myself.
Thanks

This might not be easy to find. The three kinds of seats look different in size. For example, the comfort seats might leave less room in the rear than the standard ones. I for one want to know if the seat is higher because of all the extra motors in the comfort seat. The dealer said the headroom was the same as with the standard seat, but it feels less. It may be the deeper bolsters that make it feel that way, but numbers, manufacturers' data, would settle it. Few people have sports seats, but if the data is easy to find, please include all 3 styles for comparison.
