How To Remove Rear Emblem Safely

Anybody know how to remove the rear emblem (530i) on your E60?

Hey Rudy - that PDF just says you replace the rear like you do the front! It's a matter of prying with a piece of thin cardboard [like a shiny, plastic visiting card which is what I used], under the emblem with a screw-driver. You will prob scratch the paint a little bit but this will end up covered by the emblem in most cases.

BTW - thought I should mention this here. The STEERING EMBLEM install is a simple STICK ON TOP of the old one. DO NOT TRY TO PRY OUT YOUR STEERING WHEEL EMBLEM. It is held in place via prongs that wrap around the leather and sit under the steering. I found this out the hard way and now have a lot of scracthes on my steering wheel where I forced the screwdriver under to try to pry it off. The solution? Simply put two stick on emblems so that it stands out more and distracts attention from the minor cosmetic blemishes.

Hope this helps..... Why isn't anyone answering my M5 Aero Install DIY help thread?!?

OOhhh What I Meant Was How To Remove A Rear NUMBER (525, 530, 545, etc) emblem on the back trunk of E60... And I thank You For The Help who Ever Responded.
