Hey guys, I wanted to change out my yellow bulbs to white LED lights all around my car (headlights, taillights, side markers, etc). I was wondering whether it would be illegal and would I be ticketed for it in CA? Has anyone done this yet? Any problems? Thanks

Yes, blinkers can either be amber, or red. No other color is legal in cali. U can have white bulbs as long as they flash a legal color.

To clarify, it is legal for your headlight turn signals and side markers to be white, but not your tails.

I had posted the link to CA's DMV before, but too lazy to dig it up right now.

yup. CLick on the sticks and sigs package deal thread. It's legal in california for the front turn signals to be white.

Just an update but, I went ahead and changed all my blinkers to white LEDs anyways. Took a cruise around LA and found a shop who was selling them for a good price. The only downfall is that my blinkers are now blinking twice as fast - like little hondas! . Did i get the polarizations wrong? They're really bright though, and I love it aside from fact that I can't get it to blink at a normal speed lol. Wish me luck staying under the radar from piglets with these

You need to put resistors in that. That will fix your blinking problem.
