Changing the silver red bulbs on the Hella lights

My Ride: Mini Cooper
I got the 12v 21w silver red bulbs from

and they are very good for the price much better than getting it from BME dealer which cost arm and a lrg.
Here is how to change the silver red bulbs.
It will only take 10 mins to do.
Make shore that the car is turned off and the keys is out from the car.
You don`t have to unplug the battry to change the bulb, but you can if you what.
1. Take off the 2 plasic that holds the cover to get into the light.

2. Unplug the wire from the light unit.

3. Take out the light unit by pressing the 2 plasic clips at the top and bottum.

4. You will need to take off the solders on the bulb to push down and trun to unlock the bulb.

5. Make shore that the light unit is clean from solder.

6. Get the new silver red bulb.

7. Put the silver red bulb in by pushing it in and turn.
After this, plug the wire in and try the bulb to see if it works.

8. If OK put the light unit back in, then the cover and the 2 plasic to hold the cover.

10. Turn on the car and light to see if works.

Nice DIY!! Very easy to follow. Its funny how they solder those lights on there, did they expect it to last a lifetime?! Bad manufacturers <_<... Glad you got your lights working again!
