plz help~~how do i disconnect the battery????

My Ride: 04 525i w/ sports and premium pakage, titanium silver, gray dakota leather w/ polar grain wood trim, steptronic
i need to disconnect battery for a second, i found where it is but have no idea how 2 disconect this thing....afraid that i might get shock or start a fire~ also some one said i have to disconect the negative first,is it true?

Always disconnect the negative first and reconnect it last...

do i have to disconect both negative and positive? can i just disconect negative and plug it in later?

Active steering malfunction can be re-initialized, then you have to reset the date, and thats pretty much it. Just disconnect the negative terminal. What are you trying to do exactly? Maybe we can help you better with more details from you.
if you can't or don't even know how to disconnect a car battery, don't do any mods to it yourself! <_<

Cool!! Wat colors did you get? I got a set, but they were BLUE, so I didn't put them, I'm looking for white ones.. Make sure to post some pics once you're done. For a job that small, I don't think you need to disconnect the battery, just make sure the wires don't touch once you splice them.

Sweet! does it turn on all the time? Where did you tap for power? How'd you install it? Where'd you run all the wires!? I'm gonna go do it, your pictures convinced me. Did you drill or did you just tape it on? Please assist me!
