You're correct that was an Infinity M45, I was at the car show and took that pic.....forgot. That's not the knob I'm referring to though, just a pic of a hot control console. Need another control knob......like a chrome stereo knob..........

You could get it painted or paint it yourself, then it could be any color you want.

My Ride: 2004 545i / Orient Blue (I think) / Tan int / 116's Wheels / ... my favorite option, the HEATED steering wheel! Previous cars retired: 2006 Corvette Z51, 2002 Corvette Coupe, 2002 Mustang, 1997 Maxima, 1994 Camry, 1990 Supra None, and I mean none compare to this 545i. The 06 Corvette was faster, but not by much...

What does the LCI look like? Does it fit over the controller cap?

Looks like it will have rubber or leather around the perimeter to provide extra grip.

That's it!

I don't know about it being heavier but maybe the M5 knob would be something you would like it's a brushed aluminum look ( i don't think they make anything in chrome ) I purchased one but then ended up selling it since i didn't like it. should cost around $65.00.
Hey dude , have you got the part number for the M5 knob ? I really like that alu one
