My BMW 545i year 11/2003 has got a 6 CD Changer. Please give me detail how and what kind of Brand Name CD Changer can be install.

You can't install anything except the BMW-branded Alpine with the fiber optic output.

Thanks. Could you be more specific. Which type of BMW Alpine CD Changer and is it easy to install by myself. Detail instruction will be more appreciated.

If your 545 already has a changer why do you want to replace it with a "brand name" changer? If it doesn't work I recommend replacing it with another used changer from another e60 BMW. There have been several out there for sale since many e60'ers replace theirs and use USB or iPhone to store music.

Go to REALOEMand enter in the last 7-digits of the car's VIN.

Click on group 65, and then select the CD-Changer from the right-hand menu. That will give you a list of the CD-changers, bracket and screws that you will need to source.

You can install the CD-changer by doing the reverse of the instructions provided at this thread:

You will then have to have the card coded at a dealership or independent specialist. Alternatively, you can code the car yourself with the correct software and cable.

This presumes that your car is pre-wired for the CD-Changer. If it is not pre-wired then it is a bit more complicated.

there will be hundreds of people on here who will have CD changers spare from their iPod retrofits.
