Griot's Random Orbital is what I would go with. It's made better and has more options. It's also more user friendly for novice detailers, looking to get into a machine polisher for the first time. Also, according to Griot's, Porter Cable was a Griot's Random Orbital machine for many years. Then, about 8 years ago, Porter sold to Black and Decker and the quality of their polishers has gone way down. I know there are a lot of people out there that love PC, so I'm sure both are fine, but I just love Griot's. It's solid, easy to use and has better overall performance than the PC.

^ yes the spider webs are the swirls.
Another tip - store your microfibre towels in ziplock bags to prevent them from collecting dust, and dont use fabric softner when drying them.
