Hand wash only - by me!
I don't let anyone else touch my car, not even for a handwash, and that includes the dealer.
They will never take the same amount of care ensuring that all the cloths are absolutely clean and free of any dirt or particles that could scratch the paint.
That's the price I pay for having Carbon Black.
But I must admit that it is definitely a rewarding process, and like someone else said, very therapeutic - good quality time with your car.
Except when it rains the next morning as you pull out of your garage :'(

I mostly have hand-washed my BMWs, but they have occasionally seen a car wash in the winter when salt, snow, mud, and grime get too thick.
With my new jet black 550 I expect to hand wash it year-round (heated garage at home with hot/cold water and floor drain
). And lots and lots of Zaino.
Excellent point made by others about dealer washes - "no thanks" will be my standing order for service calls.
