got my sapphire black car a few days ago, and am planning to detail next weekend.
heres the gameplan...

wash

clay (even though the paint is flawless right now...just for good measure)

wash again (to remove any clay residue)

klasse SG (sealant glaze)...maybe 2 or 3 coats

then a coat of P21S...heard it gives wetter look

should klasse AIO (all-in-one) be applied to flawless paint (before the SG), or is it really not necessary? the paint has no swirls, or anything else, and from what i know AIO is more of a polish than a 'wax'

many thanks

Got my e60 7 weeks ago and on the 2nd week I used AIO and 2 coats of Pinnacle Souveran. This picture was taken 2 weeks ago. Good luck!

whoa, that is awesome!

how is the shine with just AIO? do you find the souveran adds much more shine to it? ive heard souveran is an awesome product but quite pricey .

also, one last question, why did u choose to use just the AIO and not the SG as well?

I choose to use only the AIO and see what kind of results I would get which I was very happy on the shine. I also heard that SG is very tough to get off. Once I used the AIO I liked what I saw and yes the Souveran adds much more shine and is very pricey. On my 03/530 which was Orient Blue also, I used Eiszett product line along with Pinnacle and got great results. I will send you a photo of my 03 tonight.

Here is my 03/530 before I sold it. I used Einszett every 8-10 months, Pinnacle Souveran every 4 weeks and used pinnacle QD after every washed.

I used a simliar procedure on my new M3 a few years ago, but I did choose to use AIO first...probably overkill, but it looked great. The AIO is very easy to apply too.. it doesn't really take that long. Allow SG to dry for one hour before removal and allow 24 hours between coats. And yes a final topper of carnuba wax brings out the shine even more and the base of SG provides much more protection that carnuba alone. Just make sure to remove the Carnuba completely with Dawn dish soap prior to applying SG again.

AIO is necessary IMO. SG really needs a sealant/wax free surface for proper bonding, and if your new paint looks wonderful, Im sure it has some protection on it. Rarely will a dealer let a vehicle be sold, factory fresh.
