GenoInDC, At least you'll get your car well before me. I think I read on earlier posts that the boat stops in New Jersey, drops off east coast cars, and then heads through the Panama Canal with the west coast cars. Hopefully the ship leaves soon!

Not all of them. Most east coast shipments are on Wallenius Wilhelmsen lines. Looking at their sail list they leave Bremerhaven go to 3/4 ports and return. This repeats over and over. They are the easiest to track. Other lines serve the West Coast and not so easy to track. You have to use generic sites like

or

http://www.oceanweather.com/data/index.html click Marine Observations

Dealer has latest and greatest info

BMWNA 800 number second best

Owners Circle - last to know and not detailed enough.

Some of the West Coast guys have mentioned the shipping lines but I do not remember their names.

Thanks for the info Cobradav. I found out my car is on the "Pioneer Leader". I haven't had any luck tracking it yet. I guess it doesn't really matter though, it won't get here any faster. I do know that it should arrive at Port Hueneme on April 19. My CA says a week after that to get to the dealer. I expect it will take longer, but he thinks because it's marked priority one sold, that it should move through VPC quickly. I'll just have to wait and see.
