Hi all,

I am disappointed that the previous topic on this subject was closed because some members turned it into a partisan soap box. I think there are better forums for each of us to express our political views (many thanks to the administrator for ending that).

Back to the subject at hand - I still have not heard anything about my car being released from the VPC at Port Jersey. Are the other members awaiting their MY2005 V8's still waiting as well?

If anyone has any new information, please update us. I am chomping at the bit to receive my car, especially since the weather keeps getting colder So much for having the top down

Sorry kustjag I just couldn't keep looking at that avatar without firing off a joke.I have been spanked by Lomag and rightfully so. If you go to the bimmerfest thread I linked, I expect the cars to be released in the next few days (maybe 10/15). Sarafil is pretty reliable with his info, I'll call my CA tomorrow to further inquire as he was off today.

Thanks gmartin, I would appreciate any information any one can get from their dealer, since mine is useless.

Cheers,

Rob

P.S. I know you are joking, but tensions are high in this election.

My car is still waiting to leave port, but my salesman updated my status on the phone yesterday. He mentioned that the V8 05s were going to be released by this weekend.

My CA is hoping for a Sat AM delivery to me. He is expecting the shipment from VPC today (only 3 hour drive from here). He will call me tonight so I am crossing my fingers.

Got the call from my CA. My car has FINALLY arrived at the dealership after 5 freaking months, 2 cars, over six weeks in the GD VPC they drove it off the truck today in Atlanta. Hopefully I will have it by the weekend. With my luck something will go wrong so I'll believe it when its in my driveway.

Wanted to know if anyone out there had info on the time it takes to get the car through VPC. I did the ED and the car arrived NJ on march 26. How long does it take to process and do they do anything to the car???
