How does learning what happened at the VPC change your situation? Whether or not work was done there, you have a paint issue that BMW should cover under warranty, right?

Supposedly, any/all work at the VPC is done just like it would be done at the factory -- I'd be more worried about work done at a dealership or another body shop, not the VPC...

I guess it doesn't. But I am the knid of person that likes to find out as much as I can, especally if I am waiting for something.

For example, If I have a meeting with a potential client or their representative, I find out everything I can about them and their reps.
I figure the more you know, the better you can handle a situation.

I agree with you that having information about a client can help you out but in the case of your car, when you really think about it, having the knowledge of whether or not work was done at the VPC doesn't get you anywhere. Just get BMW to make things right with your paint problem and you should be good to go...
