Just wondering what actual vs. expected delivery dates had turned out to be for the UK.

My car was ordered Dec 16 and I was told to expect it the start of February (it is a company car and this info was via the leasing company and not directly from a BMW dealer)... Today I find out that the paperwork actually puts it at early March, plus one week. Disappointed, sure, but life is life.

But I was wondering if your orders arrived when expected, early, late, to better re-set my own expectations.

Ordered mine on 2nd december, made some changes to the order on the 12th.

Car was ordered for 1st of April.

Turns out it's already been built and arrived at the dealer last week which is about 10 weeks early.

I had a seat in it on Friday and I'm not sure what's more frustrating, having a car that's late or seeing your car and not being able to touch it for a month (going to try and sell my one early and go for 1st March delivery so it's an 04 reg)

BTW what spec did you order ?

My spec is 520i auto, dechromed flat black w/ sports suspension, moonroof, business navigation, 6 CD changer, lumbar support, anti-dazzle mirrors (in and out) and a few other minor oddments...

fits the allowance to a T - would have loved a few other bits, or the 530d, but man, ?10k could be spent in a blink of the eye with things like the active steering/xenon lights/proNav, Logic7, etc. etc. etc.

Looking quite forward to it

Just had a call this afternoon from a nearby dealer!

my 520i will be delivered, to me, on Thursday!!

GarryF, what was your spec, btw?

 

I ordered my new 520SE on Saturday 24th Jan - dealer already had one on stock order and I was just in time to spec. change. Delivery due mid Feb - I would have preferred 1st March for new 04 reg. but it would have cost me ?600 more due to price inrease and my part exchange going down by another ?300.
Spec is 520 in titanium grey, sports steering wheel and 17"alloys.

I quite agree ... I was offered several models for immediate del - but wait just six weeks for - 530d SE Saphire Black , Auburn Leather ( Dakota) ( thanks to ISUK !!!) Elec memory seats ,Heated seats, sports suspension , sports steering wheel , 124 style wheels . Can't wait till March 16th!!

me again, I'm jealous your getting your car so quick, let us know what you think of it. I ordered a 530d Silver gray/black with auto, leather, maple wood and Style 123 alloys. Also has heated seats and steering wheel, comfort seats, Dynamic Drive, xenon, bluetooth, CD Changer and a few other things. Only 4 weeks of waiting now though

 

So I get a call from the dealer that there were problems with the weather last week and as such the cars were not delivered yet.. so i have to wait until Wednesday.

Not something that makes me smile
