Trade Assistance / Buyback Help Needed
After a long series of repairs and days in the shop, I'm negotiating with BMW taking back my Jan '04 build 530i. I plan on replacing it with a 2006 530i. BMW is offering me a "standard trade assitance." Are there other types of trade assistance? I assume this is different (and worse) than a buy back. Can anyone give me advice on how to get the best deal? My other option is to sue under the lemon law but I'd like to avoid this if possible. Thanks!
Im in the same boat as you now they want to keep my car a full week so they can do more testing before they decide what type of trade to do......i posted a while back but no one replied maybe youll have better luck and if any one with knowledge of buy backs or trde assists reads this what is the formula they use for the mileage....although i think this is bogus to knock off money for miles on a car thats been defective since the get go....ok im done ranting....good luck

BMW bought back my car Feb 12th of this year. I had a 2005 545i SMG. I made it clear to the servie manager two weeks after my car was in the shop that I was either to have a new car ready for me on the 31st day my car was in the shop or have the paperwork for BMW to buy my car back. I didn't have any problem with the transaction at all.
