Service Delays..... going on 2 weeks

Advice from the experts...

my took my 530 in on 12/30/04 ...

the gas tank was "tripping out "

also my Idrive kept freezing ... ie reprogram..
AND my passenger side air bag sensor was malfunctioning...

i only have 2000 mi on my car....
They gave me a loaner 3 series loaner BUT ...i'm paying ~ $800 for a 5 ..they don't have any...

i found out today that a new gas tank is on backorder for another WEEK !

this is irritating...

what should i ask for to compensate me on my loss...

granted i have a loaner...but like i was saying ..i'm paying $800 ish for payment / Insurance...and this just isn't right !

any suggestions would be greatly appriciated ...

Sorry to hear your misfortune. Its what we all hope to avoid. In the past I have been in similar spots. I never received any cash payments, but there are other ways a dealer can established good will. Remember your dealer is not negligent since they cannot obtain the parts.

In my case the upgraded the loaner & provided exemplary service on future visits. It became pretty routine for the operations manager to approach me before getting in line, taking my service request and then getting me a loaner. I think they were so accomodating since I was a repeat customer & they understood the frustration of the first year gremlins.

I defintely believe you will get better treatment over the long-haul with honey versus an aggresisive approach. I highly doubt they are going provide you cash. If you are adamant about being compensated, I think the dealer would be more apt to provide services, something of value or their cost, but without taking a financial hit.

Crevier Rocks ! sorta....

i didnt have my ride for 1 month ! ...

but they did pay me for the months lease payment ...
