It appears with the new board software I can no longer edit my old posts. Therefore I'll have to add the updates to the SIBs and PROGMAN versions will have to be in new posts.

I'm "self-diagnosing" a couple of issues on my 530 (Feb 04 build) and wonder where I might find the following:

ISSUE: CD player skips -- sometimes quite a bit, other times not much or not at all (as in when I had it in the dealer's, of course!!)
POSSIBLE BULLETIN (copied from PDF):
65 20 05 January-06 E60 RAD2 - CD Mode Malfunctions (In-Dash CD skips or does not play - Business Radio)


ISSUE: this isn't a biggy, but AM radio reception is poor/scratchy. Dealer says is because of tint in back window (very slight).

ISSUE: Have recently had retrofit of CPT9000 and volume on incoming call seems quite low:

Trying to figure out my 530xi's CIP version. The car was built in December of '06. The secret menu has two interesting lines:

Can't find a relevant entry in the tables that you folks have kindy provided. Any guess at what version of software I've got?

 

Those are dates of specific build dates of a specific set of code for a specific module. You don't say where you are located but if build in Dec 06 it has to be PROGMAN 24.xx.xx

 

Updated list through end of February 2007.

As always the "Maroon" color depicts changes since last list. Also note that the alldata access seems to have disappeared. So I guess if you need a bulletin I can try to supply it. I hope to have the embedded Excel version in a Word document in the next day or two.

Just a quick update for you folks...

My car has just come back from the dealer after a Progman update. Target data status now shows as E060-07-03-525 (previous was E060-07-03-516). All of the detailed information on the Status Report is in Dutch, and full of codes, so I can't decipher it at all. Service guys tell me it's Progman 25.1.1.

Can anyone confirm what version this is, and what changes it has effected to my car?

 

Other dealers are saying -525 is 25.02.xx Generally a xx.xx.01 would be a small increment such as your -516 was already 25.00.0x. 25.01.00 was -520. You should not see any feature changes from what you already had. Just everything should work that you do have .
