Hello E60 owners

I had a quick question regarding tipping the service people here in Toronto. Ive been going to BMW OF MISSISSAUGA for quiet a while now, the service there is just SUPERB. They always seem to take care of me, especially with loaners. I know ive read on this forum in the past about how tipping helps but that was in US, im not sure of the case here in t.o. I will be going there more often as 3 more cars coming in within the next year, and already have 2 bmws from this dealer in the family. I wouldnt want to be disrespectuful, but i dont want to bring down their initiative in helping me out with whenever i have problems either. So my question is, do you guys (toronto area) usually tip these people?

My last two cars were from BMW Mississauga. Always took the cars there and had great service. No complaints. Tipping? I've never felt the need nor have heard of anyone here doing that or even asking about it. My newest is from BMW Toronto and I'll be heading there on Monday to get red reflectors and audio aux. input installed. We'll see.

Spent some time in DC and had terrible experiences with VOB in Rockville. They were horrible. I guess if you want to ensure better service, maybe tipping is required.

I wonder, do Lexus owner tip their service people?

no need to, I purchased my e60 from Mississauga BMW, and never tipped. The amount we spend on these cars, their the ones that should be giving us coffee money

But no need to tip, its all in the price of the vehicle neways.

Tipping? No! But I'm sure a good "bottle of something" (or another small gift) at christmas will make you their favourite It's also a good token of your appreciation!

I have no problem tipping generously but only to service professions(waiters, valet/housekeeping/bell caps, cab drivers, etc) not professionals as I consider people that work in a car dealership. Some people at car dealerships make greater than 100k per year.

tipping only when they provided a service that they supposed to charge you but they didn't. i did tip my technician once for installing my wood center console for free .

Tipping? No way. Excellent service should be expected, considering how much we pay for this car. It's not like they depend on our tips. You may be starting a trend, but I would hate it if they expected to be tipped.
