Well, I guess it is true. A year though, I guess that was a nice check to get in the mail. JIMM, good luck with the repairs...looking forward to those pictures.

Where did you get your wheels from, Tirerack?, some other place? Trying to find the best price, and if I get the 525 instead of the 530, I will definitely need to order them immediately!

I don't know if it's just me - but every single one of those aftermarket wheels just look cheap and nasty to me.

They kind of look like those boy racers you see here in the UK who take a shitty old car and add loads of "styling" products to it like tinted window film, plastic body kits and useless spoilers.

Your mileage may vary of course.

Thanks for the info Robert, i just called DOT to file a claim, and theres a big article in the Daily News about how bad they have been, so maybe i'll also be able to re-coup soem $$ too......Arron I got the wheels and tires from Tirerack.com..........19" SSR's with the black (not crome) finish. If you want i can look up what i paid.

JIMM,

Please do. I would be very interested. Trying to price things out now so that I can be prepared. Your help is much appreciated.

Thanks!

Guest,

As everything in life, there are good things and bad things.
But if you think that way maybe you should see some nice wheels brands in the market, Schnitzer, BBS, OZ,....
They have good wheels for sure.

Aaron, found my prices on the wheels from tirerack.....I paid like $925 each wheel and tire.
19" SSR's, Michelin tires pilot sport 245/35's in the front, and 275/30 in the rear. I hope this helps you out.

Jim-

I am thinking about SSR's for when my car arrives, can you post a pictures of yours? How do the 19"s feel? I am not sure about 18's or 19's and would like to hear your opinion.

Pictures by this weekend if my wheels get repaired from the giant pothole i didnt see, but theres not much of a ride difference between the 18's and 19's....i had 18's on my 540, and M5.......the only difference is the look....they are both a hard ride.

Thanks Jim- Look forward to seeing them. I have heard that larger rims are oftem heavier and can slow a car down. Do you find this to be the case for you?
