Well I've booked my car in for its first Oil Service and a few issues to fix such as creaking doors and noisy rear parcel shelf etc. Requested a courtesy car which meant a date in July. Such a long wait and very disappointed in my dealer for having so few courtesy cars

Anyway was informed that I also have 2 recalls outstanding my car. The last recall work I had done was back in January this year.
Well from the phone call the recall work was for:-
1). Replacing of engine cover position.
2). Re-programming of control unit.

Anyone hear of such recalls? Hopefully I get more details on this when I actually get my car done in July but thought I ask if anyone knew about the recalls.

My 530d was oil-serviced today and the exhaust manifold was replaced as a recall

cannot say I notice any performance differences with the manifold swap...think its because one or two showed cracks and therefore BMW are switching out any from that design/batch

cip17 rocks though!
