Hey, my system is kick-ass too! My friend plays french horn in various symphonies and is something of a golden ear. He assisted me with equipment and calbe selection. Dave did the equalizer setup in my auto and likes Logic-7 a lot. I'm not using either of the two theater modes though.
Wslam: That's a very sweet set of speakers you've got there. For me, the E60 was, I think, still more expensive than my audio/ht setup, but not by much. If I ever get to Hong Kong, I hope you don't mind a PM as I would love to have a listen.

Sam, of course, PM me if you do come.
How strange everyone talks about the speakers. they are actually the 'cheapest' of the componets. They are cheaper than the preamp, CD player, amp etc.
anyway, i wouldn't spend too much money on car stereo. you are limited by the physical settings anyway. no matter what you do, it won't sound good

hey guys audio heaven
i've a royal flush of cyrus kit, separate pre/main/left/right amp out board power supply with some big b&w's - sounds full and clean - listening to an Ibiza chill-out right now (sorry to admit it).
guys - don't flame me if you think that kit's cheap!!!!!
my babe is still not here so I don't know what the L7 is going to be like - just hope it's worth the money

Its disappointing to know that you are not going to do up your car stereo. I was actually eagerly waiting to see what steroe upgrade you will do to your E60. My installer claimed that 4" (or is it 5"?) speakers at the front doors are a huge limitation for what a good car stereo will sound, and had advised me against getting an E60. Well, I am a sucker when it comes to car hifi.
I am very happy with my current set-up, and this was one major factor why I delayed making the decision to buy an E60. i just wonder if the iDrive will be a hindrance to hifi upgrade. Staging and imaging are very important to me, if I were to upgrade, a processor wth time alignment is a must.

i know many of you guys know almost everything about bimmer. however not too many can answer my light bulb question that i posted . anyway, i just ordered a pair of piaa xtreme force bulbs (h-259) from canada. i believe that is ok for either hb3 (9005) or hb4 (9006). i'll install them after i got them. then i'll take a few pics and post them here.
