If it's the newer remote slot key, then it would set you back about $150 in parts. Some dealers will tell you that there is a programming fee, but these is really nothing to it, so the honest dealers will not charge anything over parts.

Well if I lost one of 2 I'll want to get that one replaced just in case... 1 key isnt "enough"

What about the security issue ... the dealer might have to reprogram all the keys so that the lost key can't be used. One of my friends told me that a lost key on his merc cost him 800$ by the time he had new keys reprogrammed.
