I just a got a call from the service director at my dealership who balled me out for reporting that I had a problem to BMW/NA when they called for a report.

My front hood was misaligned at the A pillar and did not get fixed well. So I told them- BMW NA.

The service director got very angry that I didn't tell them to fix it at the dealer, even though I had the car back for a second repair on another item. He basically told me it was all my fault, and also told me that he checked the repair the first time and it was correct. It must be that my car is allowing the hood to move out of position on its own, and that I should have taken care of giving them the chance to fix it anyway.

I apologized and told him it was all my fault! I'm just the bad customer.

(This is the guy who told me that he wouldn't even look at certain things because I bought my car at a different dealership).

So much for dealer support! I guess he would prefer I spend my money elsewhere.

They have you flagged now. You will likely get great service from these guys in the future.

Hi BMW530,

I use Trainers in Swansea. I've been using them for a good few years and they used to be really good, but the E60 seems a bit beyond them, or maybe I'm just being unfair.

Cheers,

? ? Malc.
Malc ......

This car seems to be beyond the limits of most BMW dealers in this country <_<

can you post some pics? i have a similar problem but it's so minor. i used to have a bigger gap on the driver's side. have you tried to open the hood up to your chest height and slam it down? i did and the gap is same as the passenger side but still a little misaligned. i told the service advisor while i was in the shop but he said if it's very minor, it won't be covered under warranty .
