Zipper, are you talking about adding the BMW NAV system? If so, won't cause a problem on return, but I also doubt you'd get any real resid value for it. Sorry. If you are seriously thinking about buying the car at the end of the lease, go for it.

Yea, im fine without it. Im not going to add it. I would love bluetooth though. Its hard to talk and drive with a stick. To bad BMW is taking their time with the pre-march 04's.

You CANNOT change the residual once the lease is written. You will not get anything "extra" at lease end for any extras you add after you have already leased. There is a small list of "adds" with a pre-set value amount that can be purchased at the time the lease is written. After the fact, though, no luck. Anything you put onto the car afterwards is yours should you choose to remove it before returning it.

I have leased 5 BMW's and maybe 6 other brands, BMW is the most lenient regarding wear and tear. Six months prior to your lease expiring you will be contacted by BMW NA to find out if you are buying the car or turing it in. If your not keeping it, you will be contacted by an independent inspector who will come to you, home or office for a quick look to see if all is well. If you make any mods or changes you will have to bring the car back to its original state, or just buy it. I would advise against making modifications to a leased car, IMO.
