[/quote]They didn't say that, they said that I can't order a 545i to be built after week 9 ... I believe their will be period of time (perhaps even a few months) before the 2005 545i in stock are sold down to the level where BMW will introduce the 550i (like many have stated, perhaps in Sept/Oct timeframe).

Quite contratry.... .. If indeed BMW is switching over to 550 for Sept production, you will see a HUGE model "build out" prior to introduction of the new stuff. Ask you dealer about it. If he doesn't know what I am talking about, then he hasn't been w/ the BMW line long enough.

It wouldn't surprize me if they have stopped the dealers from order 545i for inventory (only allow sold 545i to be build after week 9) during the march timeframe (after week 9). Then, build a bunch of 550i and not ship them to the dealers until the existing inventory of 545i is lowered ... at that point in time, they will allow people to place their "special orders" for the 550i ...
