Tried to order a 545i with a production date of after 9th week (second week of March 2005) and my Canadian Dealer just phone me back saying that the 545i is being discontinued and I will not be able to order that car with that engine.

The 545i, so he tells me, is being replaced with the 550i, but he does not yet have the pricing on it. The build date for this car in Canada would be no earlier than April. The 550i will be known as a 2006. :angry:

On another topic, he said that ED needs 6 month lead time, can anyone confirm?

Finally, that pre-wire for Satellite and NAV can't be done in the 545i, can anyone confirm?

Now I need to decide "Do I still order the 545i or not?" and what kind of discount should I get for ordering a car with an engine that is being discontinued? :'(

There will be no 550 production in week 9. If you wait... you'll be waiting for MUCH loger than that. <_<

Dealer in Charlotte, NC told me I could order the 550 in the next few months for a September delivery. I would only buy a 545i now w/ 7-8k off sticker to compensate for the model change depreciation.
