The dealer I got my information from just sent me an email, looks like he has changed his story ...
"FYI ? we were at a BMW Canada meeting this week (hence my delayed reply), and the 06 550 is not due to begin production until September??"
So if you are in Canada waiting for the 550, looks like with wait for production is September ...

Hello Beewang,
I plan to order a 550 as soon as it's available and am a "little" confused with all the different dates being mentioned. Many posts seem to indicate Sept "production". So does September *production* mean customer could order around June and car will arrive in September?

Quite contratry.... .. If indeed BMW is switching over to 550 for Sept production, you will see a HUGE model "build out" prior to introduction of the new stuff. Ask you dealer about it. If he doesn't know what I am talking about, then he hasn't been w/ the BMW line long enough.

[/quote]Just picked up '05 545i (NYC, US) with Nav, Sirius, Bluetooth - all bells & whistles. Other than RDS which seems to be absent, all works fine. No word of a near-future 550i that I have heard from knowledgable sources. But I haven't really asked - had to lease now b/c MB lease expired.
