The fire extinguishers have never been in my or the passengers way.
You can have the umbrellas facing to the inside (the tunnel) or the outside. But when they facing to the outside you have to open the door and pull them out - standing in the rain. That's why the face the tunnel on mine. It's no problem to pull them out, since this middle part, the holder, is only attached to the car with those two screws on the top end, so the bottom is not screwed in. You can just grab the umbrellas handle, give it a 90 degree turn up and pull it out... Very easy... Having them this way you can grab them before going out in the rain...

Also I like Mineral Silver colour which they provide for 6-series BMW Individual, any idea if it is possible to order it for 5-series Individual package instead of what they offer or I have to forget again about the whole package and order everything separately. Actually I have read that they produce 5- and 6- series on the same line.
Same with all other options. They have a catalogue, the stuff in there cost more than the Individual package you can order as an option, and then you can also get whatever the f*** you want, they do it for you... But if it'S not in the catalogue, it's expensive... Basically they do it all... Whatever you dream about...

Iceman, I'm sorry if I upset you. I studied the brochure one more time and found what escaped my attention before coz I took it for granted...... For all the packages
they have a reference written in small letters. If you have seats ventilation option
the leather in the package will be perforated.
Thanks for reply re colours. So in my case if I order Minieral Silver which is 6-series BMW Individual colour it would mean no or some affordable cost added to the package?

Hhmmm...
Maybe I missed that footnote...
But my wife would have kicked my a$$, if I would have ordered that too...
Too late now anyways.
However, if you take the Individual package it does not include Individual colour, AFAIK. The package is actually called "interior package"... The colour will cost extra...

You can take the umbrellas out before you return the car...
...and yes, I'm sure you could install those in the front instead of the fire extinguishers. But again, as we may not own the 5 much longer, I don't think it is worth it. Maybe they'll fit in the '05 Porsche Carrera we're considering as the replacement.
Anyway, love the seats, & nice mods.

Iceman you have a very nice setup on your 545. I was just curious on what you payed for your car in Germany (the BMW motherland)
I payed 60,000 euros for my E60 520i in Cyprus which is now a Full EU member
Our Taxes are still so high!!!! I hope that gradually they will go down so on my next BMW purchase I could also opt for a bigger engine
Cheers
