The biggest misconception about white cars is that they get dirty easily.

The truth is, they get as dirty as any car but they don't SHOW the dirt as much as a darker color car.

Trust me, I've owned white cars since 1981. Many, many people say white cars are high maintenance. Nothing could be further from the truth! Highest maintenance color = black. Lowest maintenence color = white.

 

The reason white doesn't work here in England is not really the dirt factor, which like you say is more of a problem on darker cars. However, the weather here is mostly gloomy and overcast which doesn't bring out the true radience and beauty of the white colour, if anything white looks very dull and kills the look of almost any car here in the UK.
