Is this a good deal on a CPO'd 2010 550i?

Need some suggestions. I have 2 months left on my 2010 535i lease and is thinking about purchasing a 2010 550i. Right now the dealer is offering a 2010 550i with 29,795 miles, carbon black metallic, black dakota leather, m-sport, sport auto trans, park distance, heated seats, premium audio and satellite radio for $44k. They also offered to take in my lease without me forking over anything for things that needs to be fixed, front bumber scrape, chaning the 2 rear tires and the small crack on my winshield. The dealer also offered to pay my last 2 payments and the first two payments on the purchase of the CPO'd car. Originally the car was listed for $45,991. Is this a good deal?

The incentives to swap out your lease seem great, but do you want an automatic?

Yes, I'd say that's a pretty good deal based on what I paid in '06 for my '04 545i CPO.

That sounds like a great deal, I would jump on it.

I am currently waiting for the car to complete the service and CPO process. Hopefully it can be done today since the 2nd of my last 2 payments is due today.

At $44k, it is a fair offer. Especially if they are covering need-to-fix items on your lease. At $46k? Not at all a fair price. So, they should have come down.
I'd do a quick service records report (not carfax) on the VIN to make sure it hasn't had any bugs or programming issues or sensors failing repeatedly (just to be safe) then do the deal. I say this only because sometimes those particular problems won't automatically disqualify a car for certification.

Worse thing in the world is to buy a car and 3 times out of the year the car is taking up residence at your local BMW dealer. As long as none of that has been going on, you probably should have deal. If so, I would move quick before they sell the car to someone else.

I would like to thank everyone who helped me with making a decision on the 550i. I finally made the purchase yesterday after going through a horrible experience with Beverly Hills BMW. The CPO'd 550i in Carbon Black Metallic I was originally going to purchase, or actually purchased, didn't pan out too well. The deal was done over Memorial Day weekend (Monday), deal was set, paid my $2500 deposit. However, the Client Advisor explained to me that the car was an "active CPO", which was odd since it was a 1 owner vehicle, and that they would have to CPO it again when the service department opens the next day. So the plan was to have me come back the next day to drop off my 535i as a lease return and pick up the 550i. I get a call around 10am the next morning with the Client Advisor saying that the car cannot be CPO'd and would refund my deposit. The following day, the car was sold. I have a suspicion they found someone who was willing to pay more for the car and duped me. So my search continued until this past weekend, where I test drove the vehicle, haggled on the price, closed the deal and drove off in the 550i in two hours at BMW of Monrovia. Got the car for $41,XXX, $2500 down, $760/month for 60months at 1.99%. They took my lease return with 2 worn out rear tires, paint chipped passenger side mirror, minor crack on front windshield and paint scrap on front lower bumper with nothing out of my pocket ($1000 savings) and paid my last lease payment.

2010 550i
Grey Exterior (still trying to determine whether it's Space or Platinum)
Black interior with Bamboo wood
30,343 miles
Manufacturer's warranty expires 7/15/2013, CPO expires 7/15/2015
M-Sport
Navigation
Preium Audio (Logic 7)
Sport auto w/paddle shifters
Rear sunshades
Front heated seats
Satalite radio
Value package

Still need to bring the 550i back during this week to finish some services and CPO checklist. There's a few tiny dents (looks to be from shopping carts) and one small paint chip on the rear bumper and trunk lid, hopefully they can touch up or something.
